Here are some tips to lose those extra pounds.
  1. Early in the morning drink 2 8 oz. glasses of ice water. You can only do this with an empty stomach. It will help boost your metabolism and at the same time it will make you feel fuller. This does not only help metabolism, but it also helps your heart to function well also.
  2. This is the Best Time to eat Go Foods (Carbs) (Rice/ Bread) because you can still burn them with your activities. But wait there’s more take note to lessen the intake. Oh btw, 2 Breads = 1 Cup of Rice. Half of serving of rice is better hehehehe…
  3. Breakfast and Lunch interval is not that long, so you can just wait for it. Eat healthier. For e.g. in a plate, biggest portion will be veggies with less fat and more fish/ seafoods. Avoid fatty foods though like eggplant, buttered foods, etc.
  4. Avoid soda, iced tea (which is almost purely sugar), and juice if you’re eating with a meal. Just water if with a meal, but please not cold because if you drink fatty foods with cold water, fatty deposits will just be in your digestive tract making it hard to digest everything.
  5. Better to take a bath before eating to digest better.
  6. For snacks, plain popcorns, fruits (not including sugary like ripe mango) is the best option. You can also drink juice or eat pineapples.
  7. For Dinner, this should be the smallest meal. Don’t eat carbs unless you’re going to the gym. Healthy carbs include broccoli.
  8. You should rest for an hour or more before working out.
  9. Take Coffee before workout if you can. This will boost the speed of your metabolism due to caffeine.
  10. Start with cardio. Make sure you don’t have much fluid in your system, sometimes it becomes painful. For Starters, one should do 5 rounds of 3 min. jogging with 30 seconds interval. You can also do skipping ropes, Jumping Jacks, Burpees etc. Cardios will make your heartbeat faster. Thus, other exercises/ workouts will be more effective due to higher pulse rate.
  11. Most of the time I do boxing. This is also a cardio which can help boost your metabolism.
  12. Do leg workouts such as squats, lunges, etc. Once you do things really often try to use heavier weights, because sometimes people reach their plateau.
  13. Do resistance trainings like weight lifting, etc. Did you know that once you do a 15 min weight lifting, and you eat 20% more of your usual eating habit you will still have exactly the same weight. This helps a lot. Remember to do the right breathing. Btw, it’s not how heavy you lift… it’s how you resist the heavy weight. The slower with a better form the better.
  14. You can do cardio everyday. It’s your choice, but for weight lifting, resistance, legs and abs workouts you should do it every other day or at least thrice a week. Doing it daily won’t help.  Muscles have recovery period.
  15. For abs, leg raise, sit ups, curl ups, planking, target also your love handles (hihi), etc.
  16. Stretch before and after workout.
  17. Drink more water, sometimes we thought we are hungry but when we get to drink water we feel full.
  18. Indulge in spicy and sour foods once in a while.
  19. Avoid chewing or bubble gums (sorry). It will make your tummy bigger.
  20. Avoid salty and sweet foods.
  21. Remember breakfast is the biggest meal, lunch is the second, and the third one is dinner.
  22. After everything before sleeping, drink tea preferably green for cleansing.
