DID THE POPE REALLY WEAR THIS YELLOW RIBBON IN HIS PAPAL VESTMENT OR WAS IT DECEPTIVELY SUPERIMPOSED TO MAKE HIM SPEAK OR ENDORSE A POLITICAL MESSAGE?

DID THE POPE REALLY WEAR THIS YELLOW RIBBON IN HIS PAPAL VESTMENT OR WAS IT DECEPTIVELY SUPERIMPOSED TO MAKE HIM SPEAK OR ENDORSE A POLITICAL MESSAGE?

This is a paid ad by Rustan's which appeared on page A10 of the Philippine Daily Inquirer today, 15 January 2015.

The question arise as to whether:

1. The Pope willfully and knowingly wore this yellow ribbon knowing that it was extensively used as a political campaign message from 2010 until today? His wearing it would simply mean a political endorsement of the current administration.

2. The Pope did not authorize this superimposition which means a grand deception was foisted on the Pope himself and the Filipino people by making the Pope speak a political message and endorsement of the current administration.

Personally, I believe the Pope did not authorize this and therefore must be brought to his attention and those responsible be made to retract this ad and apologize to the Pope.
In fairness to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, their editors may have missed this. Rustan's and their ad agency must answer because it came from them. - Glenn Chong
